| Danny how i will miss your smiling brown eyes,the smell of your aftershave your dry wit and most of all my friend of over 27years,i will miss you everyday i know you will be meeting all the others that have passed before you but i be grateful for all the time we had albeit short sometimes when we met up,but there is a bright star in the sky tonight and thats you dan i will always love and miss you im just sorry we never got to say our final goodbye but i will make up for that when we meet again ive asked my vicar to light a candle for you tonight. Goodnight Dan sleep well and i hope you are with jack,maryanne etc again there is no one that will take your place in my heart i love you Dan xxxxxxx

| Sad loss of Danny La Rue. Probably paved the way for the likes of Paul O Grady, Graham Norton and the rest, the difference being that La Rue had loads of competition in those marvelous variety entertainment years, and did more than survive. RIP Mr La Rue.

| Yes he did alot for the new people coming through and also gave alot of his stage gear to theatres who needed them,there will never be anyone else to take his place he really was a one off,and his like has now gone but never forgotten,and maybe Michael you could add the interviews you did with Dan to this site and maybe add them to Dan's website so his fans could enjoy them,and lets hope he gets a proper TV tribute sometime soon. Micheal if you would like to know when and where the funeral is let me know and i will email it to you just incase you want to go or send flowers
