Streaming video

A slow day at the office resulted in my finding this wonderful site. However my excitement was tempered by my inability to watch the interviews in other than a very choppy mode. Doesn't seem to be sufficient buffering or such happening. Hoping this is remedied in near future.

I have an interview on DVD of Sir Michael and Stephane Grapelli and think this is one of the nicer musical interview that is worth considering for posting.

.....perhaps you ought to spell the word 'recipe' correctly on the 'Recepies from the Royal Oak' section of the forum.
MP is a journalist after all -although I know sub editors who would say this is all you would expect from any journalist......

The new Royal Oak website & Firefox

The new Royal Oak website is a step backwards, some of it will not work with Firefox, both the contact us and the news update request fall over when you try to enter the info from the graphics into the box underneath, it always comes up with an error.

As a new member I keep getting messages about the Board Admin wanting 'message content' in my posts when my first post was several paragraphs long?

How can I get round this?

Now that the haze has cleared, I have taken time to have a good poke round the website and I would just like to say what a great site it is for a fan to have.

However, it appears that whoever designed it did not complete the project as such as when you enter "Michael Parkinson" into a search engine, not only is this not the top link (as an Official site should be) It's not even on the front page.

I used google as an example and it was page 3 before it made an appearance. The top link was for ITV, which, when you click on it, doesn't even have a link to this site.

Now quite possibly, a fan who really wanted to find the site would go through the pages but I fear others may have a look at the front page an assume there is no official site. Especially as the .co.uk domain is taken by someone else.

Anyway, just making a point as it's a good site, great variety and well maintaned but it doesnt seem to be living up to it's full potential, due partly I'm sure, to people not knowing it's here.

Unlike some of our bowlers, the pace of our broadband in oz is not express. Therefore some of your video clips don't perform too well down under and that is a great shame.

Is it possible to cater for those of us who are deprived of lightning speed internet connections?

Is it possible to activate it so a user can edit their post once it's live?
